FOIA Request to City of Colchester Regarding New and Active Residential and Commercial Building Permits on October 30, 2024.
In our continued efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at West Central Reporter have submitted a request for records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140. The request was sent to the City of Colchester on October 30, 2024.
The information sought includes a list of all new residential and commercial building permits issued from January 1, 2023, up until the present date. The specific fields requested include the type of permit, date issued, fee paid, requester's name, address of the property, and contractor's name.
Additionally, we have asked for a list of all active residential and commercial building permits along with their current status. The same fields as mentioned above are requested for these active permits as well.
