Illinois State Representative Christopher Davidsmeyer | Representative Christopher "C.D" Davidsmeyer (R) 100th District
State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer recently welcomed Tiffany Blasa, the winner of his photo contest, to the State Capitol. Blasa, a resident of Grafton, submitted a photograph depicting an exhibition barn and familiar scenes from the Jersey County Fairgrounds.
Davidsmeyer expressed his appreciation for the photograph: “Our county fairs are such a big part of my large rural district, and this picture definitely reminds me of all of the 4-H livestock shows and auctions that I’ve attended over the years,” he said. He added that he has many fond memories of county fairs, including enjoying his traditional birthday corndog. "This photo is going to look great in my office!" he remarked.
The photo contest was open to constituents of all ages in the 100th District. Participants were encouraged to capture images showcasing local landmarks, wildlife, or events within west-central Illinois. The 100th District encompasses parts or all of Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Morgan, Pike, and Scott Counties.
