The Western Illinois Men's soccer team has announced the addition of two new recruits for their 2025 class on National Signing Day. The Leathernecks have signed outside back JT Spalding and center back Isaiah Lamark.

JT Spalding hails from Waukee, Iowa, where he attended Waukee Northwest High School. During his junior year, he was named the 2024 Northwest Boys Soccer Team MVP. He also achieved success in club soccer with VSA Rush, winning the U19 US Club Soccer National Championship and being part of the VSA Rush Club State championship team. Spalding is noted for his academic achievements as a four-time academic all-conference member.

Isaiah Lamark is also from Iowa and attended Theodore Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. In his junior year, he earned first-team all-state honors and first-team all-conference recognition, along with being named to the all-tournament team. Lamark has played club soccer for FC United for five years, during which his team won regionals and became national runners-up. Additionally, Lamark secured a championship with Johnston High School in the 2023-2024 season.

Both recruits are expected to bring valuable championship experience to a young roster and will graduate in May 2025.
