Unchanged number of lawyers with active licenses to practice in cities located within Brown County in January compared to previous month

Cities within Brown County had no change in the number of lawyers with active licenses compared to the previous month, according to the ARDC of the Supreme Court of Illinois.

In total, there were three active legal licenses recorded in cities in Brown County in January.

All of the licenses were granted in Mount Sterling.

A 2023 study found Illinois had the fourth-highest number of lawyers per capita in the United States, with nearly five lawyers per 1,000 residents.
