McDonough County Building & Grounds/Elms Committee met Jan. 14.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

The Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, 3 rd floor, Law Library. Committee Members in attendance included, Vice Chair Terra Litchfield, Dustin Berg, Mike Cox, Vicky Kipling, Clayton Murphy, and Dana Walker. Members Larry Aurelio, and Dave Cortelyou were absent. Others in attendance included Chad Wilson, County Chair Eric Blakeley, Deputy Clerk Deanna Bisby, and County Clerk Jeremy Benson.

Vice Chair T. Litchfield called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.

Review and Approval of December 10, 2024 Minutes

Member Kipling moved with a second by Member Murphy to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Farm Report

The lease was signed, it was proposed to make a 4-year lease instead of a 3 year, so if changes are made it may need updated.

Administrator’s Report

Census is at 70, with 12 being private-pay. Medicare currently owes $77,143.39. There were 6 admissions, and 6 discharges.

Financial Report

No report. Elm’s administrator Jeff Howd was not in attendance.

Elms Claims

Not submitted. Elm’s administrator Jeff Howd was not in attendance.

Macomb Public Building Commission

Discussion was held regarding the solar project and committee consensus was to not proceed.

McDonough County Maintenance Directors Report

Chad Wilson gave the report. North concrete is complete and columns set. Heated sidewalks should be done next week.

Building and Grounds Claims

Member Walker moved with a second by Member Cox to approve the December, 2024 Building and Grounds Claims.

Motion carried on a voice vote.

County Board Chair Comments

County Chair Blakeley reminded the Committee of the full Board meeting. Blakeley mentioned that there would be discussion about the Solar Ordinance.
