He previously coached at Union High School, Texas A&M, and New Mexico State Aggies.
Coach Brad Wilson has been promoted to Assistant Head Coach for the 2025 season after serving as Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach in 2024. Wilson will continue to lead the Leatherneck offense in his new role.
Zach Trevino has also received a promotion from Offensive Quality Control to Offensive Graduate Assistant. Trevino joined WIU in 2024 and worked with quarterbacks and offensive quality control staff. He is a former quarterback at Clarke University.
Coach Davis expressed enthusiasm about these updates: "We're excited to add Coach Washington to our staff. He has had a lot of success in a short amount of time and comes highly recommended form some of the best coaches in FBS football." Davis continued, "Coach Wilson did an outstanding job leading our offense last fall and has earned the opportunity to take on Assistant Head Coach responsibilities."
