City of Waverly City Council met March 4.,

Here is the agenda provided by the couincil:

4. Approve Open Meeting Minutes from the February 4, 2025 Regular Meeting

5. Approve the Reports of Clerk, Collector, Bookkeeper and Treasurer

6. Pay February Bills Due in March 2025

7. Municipal

On-going discussion. Discussion and possible action regarding the Illinois Department of Transportation, State Route 104 Project. On-going discussion. As of August 2022, IDOT is responsible securing easement signatures. UPDATE: the City has reached out to State Senators and the Governor’s Office to get funding assistance. NO NEW MOVEMENT.

Jamie Headen, Benton & Associates - Illinois Rt. 104 project.

Discussion and possible approval of rate increase by the Morgan County Animal Control. Previous yearly rates were: 2024 - $3580.00, 2023 - $2994.00, 2022 - $3006.00 and 2021 - $3072.00.

Discussion and possible action concerning City of Waverly Annual Audit.

9. Parks, Lakes, and Recreation

Discussion and possible action regarding Waverly Lake Boat Permits ($25.00) for the period April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026.

10. Utilities, Streets and Alleys

John Lyons - monthly report.

11. Police

Chief Berola - monthly report.

Discussion and possible action regarding Waverly Golf Cart Permits ($75.00) for the period April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026.

Discussion and possible action regarding the City of Waverly Zoning Map.

Discussion and possible action regarding member(s) of the Zoning Committee.

On-going discussion. Continuing discussion regarding the safe operation of E-Bikes, All-Terrain Vehicles, Scooters, Off Highway Motorcycles, etc.

15. Executive Session: (i) The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees of the City; and (ii) Pending or threatened litigation affecting the City.
