McDonough County Building & Grounds/Elms Committee met June 10.

The Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, 3 rd floor, Law Library. Committee Members in attendance included, Vice Chair Terra Litchfield, Dustin Berg, Dave Cortelyou, Mike Cox, Vicky Kipling, Clayton Murphy, and Dana Walker. Member Chair Larry Aurelio were absent. Others in attendance included Chad Wilson, Elms Administrator Jeff Howd, Deputy Clerk Kyah Beck and County Clerk Jeremy Benson.
Vice Chair Terra Litchfield called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Review and Approval of May 13, 2025 Minutes
Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Murphy to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Farm Report
None.
Administrator’s Report
Census is at 73, with 20 being private-pay. Medicare currently owes $246,031.43. There were 159 admissions year to date, and 151 discharges year to date.
Financial Report
Member Cox moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to approve the May, 2025 Financial Reports. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Elms Claims
Member Litchfield moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to approve the Elm’s claims as submitted. Motion carried with a roll call vote of 7 yeas, 0 nays, 0 vacant and 1 absent.
Macomb Public Building Commission
None.
McDonough County Maintenance Directors Report
Chad Wilson gave the report. Boiler will be relocated due to it being too close to electrical wiring. Pricing was given for adding heating and cooling split systems to various areas of the Courthouse. These were estimates that will have to be bid on in the future.
Building and Grounds Claims
Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Walker to approve the May, 2025 Building and Grounds Claims. Motion carried on a voice vote.
