McDonough County Board Road & Bridge Committee met July 3.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. The Meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, 3 rd Floor, Law Library. Committee Members present included Chair Craig Foster, Vice Chair Dave Cortelyou, Jerry Raby, Jarad Royer, and Terry Thompson. Other persons in attendance: Dave Cadwalader, Scott Hance, County Chair Eric Blakeley, Deputy Clerk Emily Flynn, and Deputy Clerk Kyah Beck. Members absent were Travis Heil, Mike Cox, and Eric Chapman. 

Chair Foster called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Review Minutes from June, 2025

Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Wind Farm Updates

A meeting was held to discuss the update on the wind farms on Monday, June 30th. Everything seems to be in order, and they will be getting started as soon as possible.

Discuss & Approve Road Use Agreement for RWE Energy

This agreement was discussed. This will be sent to the Full Board meeting.

Discuss Hutchinson Invoices

Hutchinson is going to oversee the wind farm project to make sure it is getting done properly. A resolution will be made to transfer the payment to Hutchinson. This will more than likely take place in August.

Cut Fiber Line

Fiber line was cut on private property. This was discussed and tabled.

Miscellaneous Project Updates

Scotland Township bridge is about a week away from being done.

Work Report

Report given by Dave Cadwalader.

Claims Review and Approval

Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Other Items as Needed

Due to a roll-over crash south of the St. Francis blacktop, possible milling will need done due to water buildup.

None.

Public Comment

None.

County Chair Comments

Wind farm permits are going to Full Board for approval.

Adjourn

Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Raby to adjourn the meeting at 7:35 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
