Western Illinois University's men's soccer team lost 1–0 to Quincy University on Sunday after conceding a goal in the final seconds of regulation. The deciding play occurred at the 89:50 mark, leaving Western Illinois without time to respond.

Throughout the match, Western Illinois had several chances and controlled much of the game. The Leathernecks outshot Quincy 17–14 and forced Quincy's goalkeeper to make nine saves. Despite this pressure, Western Illinois could not convert their opportunities into goals.

Benjamin Graham was one of the most active players for Western Illinois, taking three shots and putting pressure on Quincy's defense. Substitutes Alexis Beltran and Jack Schwering also contributed offensively with a combined eight shot attempts. However, Quincy's defense held strong until their offense scored late in the match.

The defeat brings Western Illinois' record to 1–1–0 for the season, following a previous 1-0 win against Butler. The team will prepare for its next road game against Northern Illinois on Thursday.
