The Western Illinois University Men's Golf team is set to begin its fall season at the Blue Hen Invite, held in Newark, Delaware, from September 15 to 16. This marks the first of four tournaments scheduled for the Leathernecks this autumn.

Three players return from last year's squad: Bayden Hubacher and Nathan Tillman, both of whom participated in all four events last season, and Mateo Rascon of Burlington, Iowa. Rascon also competed in every event last year and achieved his best result with a tie for 18th place at the OVC Championships. The team also brings back Owen Howe from Johnston, Iowa, who tied for 38th at the OVC Championships, as well as Maverick Schwabe, who finished 29th at that same tournament.

New additions to the roster include Easton Korell from New Sharon, Iowa. Korell previously won first place at the Western Iowa Junior Open while playing with River Valley Golf Club. Another newcomer is Julian Ramon Ortiz from San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

The Blue Hen Invite will be played at White Clay Creek Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware. The tournament format consists of two rounds on Sunday followed by a third round on Monday.

Competing teams alongside Western Illinois include Delaware, Binghamton, Bucknell, Goldey-Beacom, Maryland Eastern Shore, Monmouth, NC Central, Rider, Shepherd, Saint Joseph's, and St. Bonaventure.
