Mateo Rascon, Golf Player | Western Illinois University Leathernecks Men's Golf

The Western Illinois University men's golf team concluded their participation in the Drake/Zach Johnson Invitational, finishing eighth overall with a team score of 884 (+58). The tournament took place earlier this week.

Owen Howe was the top performer for the Leathernecks, ending the event at three under par and securing third place individually. His strongest round occurred on Monday afternoon when he shot even par and made a hole-in-one on the 11th hole.

Mateo Rascon followed Howe, recording a seven-over-par total to tie for 25th place. Rascon's highlight came in the third round with a hole-in-one on the 15th hole. Maverick Schwabe completed the tournament at +15, Easton Korell at +19, and Julian Ortiz at +20.

The Leathernecks will next compete at the SIUE Invitational in Edwardsville, Illinois, scheduled for September 29 and 30.
