Hanson Field | Western Illinois University Leathernecks
Western Illinois University Athletics has announced game day procedures and safety measures for fans attending the upcoming football game against Eastern Illinois at Hanson Field. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:02 p.m. CST and will be available for viewing on ESPN+.
The schedule for Saturday, September 27, includes tailgate lots opening at 10:00 a.m., with ticket sales and gate access starting at 1:30 p.m. Alcohol sales inside Hanson Field and access to the Touchdown Terrace presented by Michelob Ultra will both commence at 2:30 p.m., followed by team warm-ups at 2:50 p.m.
Parking arrangements designate that Leatherneck Club Preferred parking, sponsored by Toyota, is reserved for club members who have purchased season tickets. Those contributing at the Captain level or higher receive assigned spots, while Varsity-level contributors are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. General parking remains free and open to the public.
Accessible parking is provided on the west side of Q Lot near Western Hall for those requiring handicapped accommodations.
A clear bag policy will be enforced, allowing only transparent bags not exceeding specific dimensions (12" x 6" x 12"), one-gallon freezer bags, or small clutch bags up to 5.5"x6.5". Exceptions are made for medically necessary items and diaper bags after inspection at the main gate.
Special activities include Kid's Day—offering free admission for children under age 12—and a student tailgate area in Q Lot's east end. WIU students can attend the game without charge upon presenting their student ID.
Leatherneck Club members with All-American status may access the Touchdown Terrace in the north endzone of Hanson Field, which offers field-level views along with complimentary soft drinks and water; alcohol is available for purchase.
Rocky's Kids Club presented by Clock Tower Bank will operate from a tent in Hanson Field’s southwest corner. The club captain will be recognized during the third quarter of play, and new member packets can be collected from Western Hall for an annual fee of $25.
Fans seeking assistance before or during home games are encouraged to contact WIU Athletics' main office at 309-298-1190.
