Western Illinois University’s baseball team has announced its 2025 fall season schedule. The Leathernecks will play both games at home, hosting Southwestern Illinois Community College on October 12 and Black Hawk Community College on October 19.

The team will have a roster of 34 players for the fall, including 29 returning athletes from last year’s lineup. Among those returning are Liam Bushey and Kenneth Perez, who both received recognition in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) last season. Bushey was named to the All-OVC Second Team after achieving 34 runs, 38 RBIs, a .340 batting average, an OPS of .886, and an on-base percentage of .436 during the 2025 season. Perez earned a spot on the OVC All-Freshman Team with 29 runs, 24 RBIs, a .268 batting average, an OPS of .740, and an on-base percentage of .740.

In addition to the returning players, five newcomers will join the squad for the upcoming season—one freshman and four transfers.

Head Coach Terry Davis also announced changes to his coaching staff. New assistant coaches include former Leatherneck player Brock Lummus; Will Christophersen, previously with Inland Empire 66ers; and Josh Merrigan from Charleston Southern.
