Bryce Benton, a GOP 50th District State Senate candidate, has landed some strong support through endorsements from key figures and organizations in the state.

“I’ve represented most of the 50th Senate District in Congress, and I know the citizens of Central Illinois will be well-served with Bryce Benton in the State Senate,” U.S. Rep. John Shimkus (R-Dist. 15) said. “As an Army veteran and graduate of the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), I recognize the importance of electing public servants who will sacrifice for the common good and make the tough decisions to get our nation and state back on track.

Shimkus went on to praise Benton’s track record as a law enforcement officer as a reason for his future political success.

The Illinois State Police Command Officers Association (ISP) recognized Benton’s service to the organization, describing his volunteer service, leadership and ability to work well in challenging environments.

“Our association strongly supports your candidacy to bring much-needed change to our legislature and state, and ultimately provide a better Illinois for its the citizens,” ISP said.

Family-PAC, a pro-family, anti-tax political action committee in Illinois, supports Benton for his pro-life stance and backing of traditional marriage.

“Bryce Benton is a consistent conservative who we believe will stand up for traditional Illinois families as a member of the Illinois Senate,” Director Paul Caprio said.

Raymond Poe, former state House member from Dist. 99, said the community deserves a state senator who calls Sangamon County home.

“The 50th Senate District is home to many current and retired state employees, and as a state employee himself, Bryce will be a strong voice for them in state government. Illinois will be well-served with Bryce Benton in the Senate,” Poe said.
