Auburn library board considers request for young-adult writers program

During a recent meeting, the Auburn Public Library Board discussed a member request for a young adult writers program and another request for computers that would be available for programming.

The board voted to approve the hiring of Calla Patton as the new library director and said it is looking to hire a new librarian. Board President Diana Coffman, Secretary Lisa Whisler, Janice Rothering, Amy Steele and Patton will lead the search and hiring process.

Present at the meeting were Coffman, Whisler, Rothering, Treasurer Dave Hallerberg, Shirley Deheve, Lisa Talley and Heather Burton. Staff members Calla Patton and Louise Dudley were also in attendance.
