The Jerseyville City Council approved a request from the Jersey Community High School's Theatre Friends for support of the Theatre Department in the amount of $350 during a recent meeting.

The council approved a request to send a representative to the American Water Works Association Conference next week in Springfield.

The council looked at a recommendation from Planning and Zoning to approve a citizen petition to have 102 Sinclair Drive rezoned from B-1 to B-3 for an auto sales lot for selling pre-owned vehicles. After some discussion, the motion passed unanimously.

Present at the meeting were Commissioners Kevin Stork, Steve Pohlman, Richard Perdun, Gary Goetten and Mayor Bill Russell. Attorney Bill Strang also was present.
