During a recent River Forest Public Schools Committee of the Whole meeting, Superintendent Ed Condon provided updates on strategic-planning efforts.

The planning process includes five action teams that met to develop various objectives for working toward goals.

Anthony Cozzi, director of finance and facilities, updated the board on the status of the IMET-First Farmers Financial litigation's asset-recovery process, noting that the IMET has dropped its estimated recovery percentage to 47.6 percent.

The board also talked about the search for a new director of curriculum and instruction.

In addition, the board chose K.R. Miller Contractors, with the low bid of $1.417 million for the Roosevelt school exterior project.
