The Jacksonville City Council recently met with the Planning and Public Works Committee to work on a joint agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation for the Morton Avenue project.

The Planning and Public Works Committee also talked about proposals related to new dump beds, boom mowers and bush hog mowers for use by the Municipal Services Department.

The council heard from the Parks and Lake Committee, which mentioned accepting bids for a tee mower for the Links Golf Course, amending fees for Lake Jacksonville, and renewing the agreement with the Jacksonville Area Sports Arena and Roller Hockey Rink.

The Public Protection Committee also gave a report, noting a proposal to enter a contract with HGACBUY for a 3,000-gallon tanker.
