The city of Carrollton Board of Education met Monday to recognize participants in the ROE Gifted Olympiad, the Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference Results, Silver Medallion 2016, the National Honor Society, and the Honor Flight Assembly.
The board also designated staff appreciation week for May 2-6 and approved the 2016-2017 school calendar.
In personnel moves, the board accepted the resignation of district athletic director and grade school music teacher and approved the hiring of a new athletic director and of a high school volleyball coach.
The board meets at 950 Third St in Carrollton.
