The village of Pawnee Board of Education met Thursday to approve membership in the Illinois Elementary School Association.

The board also accepted resignations and approved hiring of extracurricular sponsors and certified staff members. Additionally, the board initiated a reduction in force of noncertified staff members.

The board meets at Pawnee High School, 810 Fourth St.
