The city of Jacksonville's Public Protection Committee will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday to discuss the fire department's staffing levels.

The committee also will discuss proposals for completing the police department's training facility.

The committee will meet in the Mayor's Conference Room at 200 W. Douglas Ave.
