The seven members of the Western Community Unit School District No. 12 adopt, enforce and monitor all policies for the management and governance of the district's schools.
CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
WESTERN COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 12, PIKE and ADAMS COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
The undersigned, as President of the Board of Education, does hereby call a Special Meeting for Monday May 23, 2016, at the hour of 6:00 p.m., in the Cafeteria at Western High School, 401 McDonough
Street, Barry, Illinois, at which time and place the Board of Education will meet in SPECIAL SESSION for the purpose of:
1. Call to Order
2. Pledge of Allegiance
3. Public Comments
4. Approve the Tentative Budget.
5. Approve the National Board Educational Agency Participation Agreement.
6. Approve the Policy Manual Updates and Revisions.
7. Meeting in Closed Session to consider the following subjects: a) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the School District; b) collective negotiating matters between the School District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees; c) the purchase or lease of real property for the use of the District; d) the setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the District; e) the sale or purchase of investments; I) emergency security procedures; g) student disciplinary cases; h) the placement of individual students in special education programs and other matters relating to individual students; i) pending, probable or imminent litigation; and j) other matters
appropriate for a closed meeting pursuant to the Open Meetings Act.
8. Consider and take action on all other matters necessary and appropriate to the operation of the School District, which
may properly be considered and/or acted upon at such Special Meeting in Open or Closed Session.
