Board of Education Special Meeting Open Session August 3, 2016 5:30 P.M.
The special meeting of the Board of Education of Community Unit School District No. 100 was held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in the office of the Board of Education. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 P.M. by Ed Test, President. Other members present were: Sherry Droste, Vice President; Stan Kary, Secretary; Terrie Kallal, Peggy Perdun, and Julie Pohlman. Board member William Yamnitz was absent. Also present were Dr. Lori Franke-Hopkins, Superintendent; Mr. Alan Churchman, District Administrator; Mrs. Lisa Schuenke, Director of Finance and Human Resources; and Mrs. Debbie Trochuck, Unit Secretary.
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION None
ACTION ITEMS 1. Personnel
A motion was made by Droste, seconded by Kary to approve the following personnel items as presented:
a. Employ Kelsey Isringhausen, 5th Grade Educator, Illini Middle School, effective for
the 2016-17 school year b. Employ Erica Smith, Family and Consumer Science Educator, JCHS, effective for the 2016-17 school year c. Employ Lauren Claytor, Paraprofessional, West Elementary, effective for the 2016-17 school year d. Employ Shelby Eisler, Paraprofessional, East Elementary, effective for the 2016-17 school year e. Employ Amy Samples, Paraprofessional, East Elementary, effective for the 2016-17 school year f. Employ Michelle Krueger, Paraprofessional, West Elementary, effective for the 2016- 17 school year g. Employ Chris Skinner, Assistant Football Coach, Middle School, effective for the 2016-17 school year h. Approve the maternity leave request of Shelly Diamond, effective August 15 – September 30, 2016
On roll call, Droste, yes; Kallal, yes; Kary, yes; Perdun, yes; Pohlman, yes; Test, yes. Motion carried.

A motion to adjourn was made by Kary, seconded by Droste. An aye or nay vote was taken with all in favor, none opposed. Motion carried.
