Bond County Community Unit School District No. 2 Board of Education Special Meeting Minutes

February 23, 2017

A special meeting of the Board of Education of Bond County Community Unit No. 2 was held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Office of Student Services Conference Room.

Board President Edmar Schreiber called the meeting to order at 5:11 p.m.

Those present were board members Doll, Prater, Schreiber, and Timmermann. Others present were Superintendent Wes Olson; Special Services Director Scott Pasley; and WGEL Jeff Leidel.

Board Members Workman, Young, and Zykan were absent.

Motion by Timmermann, second by Doll, to adopt a resolution providing for the

ISSUING BONDS issue of $615, 100 Taxable General Obligation School Bonds, Series 2017, of

Community Unit School District Number 2, Bond and Montgomery Counties, Illinois, for the purpose of increasing the Working Cash Fund of said School District, providing for the levy of a direct annual tax sufficient to pay the principal and interest on said bonds to the purchaser thereof. Roll call vote: Doll, yes,

Prater, yes, Schreiber, yes, Timmermann, yes. Motion Carried 4-0.

Motion by Timmermann, second by Doll, to adopt a resolution abating the taxes

ABATING TAXES heretofore levied for the year 2016 to pay debt service on General Obligation

Refunding School Bonds, Series 2013, of Community Unit School District Number 2, Bond and Montgomery Counties, Illinois. Roll call vote: Doll, yes, Prater, yes, Schreiber, yes, Timmermann, yes. Motion carried 4-0.

RESOLUTION Motion by Timmermann, second by Doll, to adopt a resolution to retain a law firm NA FRM to initiate legal litigation with the State of Illinois. Roll call vote: Doll, yes; Prater, yes, Schreiber, yes, Timmermann, yes. Motion carried4-0.

ADJOURN Motion by Timmermann, second by Doll, that the meeting be adjourned at 5:15p.m. Voice vote. Motion carried 4-0.
