Incoming undergraduate and graduate students at the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses of Western lllinois University (WIU) will see slight rate hikes for fees, rooms and meal plans, the university announced recently.
The so-called “cost guarantee” rates will go up .35 percent at Macomb and .06 percent in the Quad Cities.
The school’s trustees voted not to increase tuition, which is currently $284.70 per undergraduate credit hour, based on 30 hours, or $323.64 per credit hour for graduate students.
The cost guarantee program ensures that tuition, room and meal plan rates will stay the same for four years as long as a student stays continuously enrolled during that time.
Full rate information for the 2017-2018 school year is available at wiu.edu/bot.
The board also approved an annual health insurance rate of $1,630 per student .
