Call to Order and Roll Call The Southeastern Community Unit District #337 Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, March 13, 2017 in the Board of Education Office in Augusta, Illinois. Mark Cox, Board President, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Roll Call verified that there was a quorum of the Board of Education with the following members present and absent as listed below:
Agenda Items On a motion by Member Stephens and a second by Member Smith, the Board of Education approved the agenda items as presented. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Cox, Eilers, Holst, Smith, Stephens Nay: None Absent: Bruenger, Ramsey Motion Carried
Approval of Minutes
On a motion by Member Smith and a second by Member Stephens, the Board of Education approved the minutes from the February 27, 2017 regular meeting and closed session. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Eilers, Holst, Smith, Stephens, Cox Nay: None Absent: Bruenger, Ramsey Motion Carried

Special Recognition
Superintendent Fox presented the update on the Board Excellence site: IHSA Solo and Ensemble, WCC South All-Conference Honorable Mention Basketball Team, WCC North & South 1st Team All-Conference Basketball Teams, Class 2A IESA Regional Champions.
Informational Items Superintendent Fox gave update on the Cooperative Sports Agreements.
Superintendent Fox presented information on the PARCC and SAT testing this year.
On a motion by Member Stephens and a second by Member Smith, the Board of Education moved into closed session at 6:52 p.m. for the purpose of the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Holst, Smith, Stephens, Cox, Eilers Nay: None Absent: Bruenger, Ramsey Motion Carried
The Board of Education returned to Open Session at 8:47 p.m.
Action Items
On a motion by Member Smith and a second by Member Holst, the Board of Education approved the 2017- 2018 school calendar as presented. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Smith, Stephens, Bruenger, Cox, Eilers, Holst Nay: None Absent: Ramsey Motion Carried
On a motion by Member Stephens and a second by Member Smith, the Board of Education approved the employment of tenured certified teaching staff for the 2017-2018 school year. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Stephens, Bruenger, Cox, Eilers, Holst, Smith Nay: None Absent: Ramsey Motion Carried
On a motion by Member Smith and a second by Member Eilers, the Board of Education approved the employment of the following probationary certified teaching staff the 2017-2018 school year: Stephen Foster, Jon Lamb, Tecia Lantz, Brian Cooley, Lauren Gray, and Emily Reuschel. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Bruenger, Cox, Eilers, Holst, Smith, Stephens Nay: None Absent: Ramsey Motion Carried
Adjournment On a motion by Member Stephens and a second by Member Smith, the Board of Education voted to adjourn the meeting at 8:52 p.m. Voice Vote Motion Carried
