West Central Reporter

Mendon Volunteer Fire Department responded to 15 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Mendon included 13 fires - eight structure fires and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $15,000 in fire loss - or about $1,154 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.

The calls resulted in two civilian non-fire injuries.
