The calls in Centralia included 92 fires - 40 structure fires, 14 vehicle fires and 32 other fires. The fire department also responded to six calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $441,350 in fire loss - or about $4,797 per fire.
The department also received 159 false calls, including 13 malicious calls and 146 other false calls.
One fire service member was injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Centralia Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 18 active employees and 26 retired or inactive employees, was $505,016 in debt as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $5,489 for every fire in 2016.
