West Central Reporter

Sandoval Fire Protection District responded to 32 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Sandoval included 23 fires - 11 structure fires, two vehicle fires and nine other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $83,000 in fire loss - or about $3,609 per fire.

The department also received nine false calls.
