West Central Reporter

Alexis Fire Protection District responded to 23 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Alexis included 19 fires - three structure fires, four vehicle fires and 11 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $33,100 in fire loss - or about $1,742 per fire.

The department also received four false calls.
