1) Call to order by Board President. The Regular Board Meeting of the Illini West High School District 307 of Hancock County, IL was called to order by Tom Holtsclaw, Board President at 7:00 PM.

5) Motion by Sutton, second by Shannon Pence to approve the minutes of Bid Opening on December 20, 2017, the Truth and Taxation (Levy) Hearing on December 20, 2017 and December 21, 2017, and approval of the Regular Meeting of December 20, 2017 and Executive Session on December 20, 2017. 10) Reports:
a. Dean of Students-Mr. Short reported: 94% of students had no discipline referrals. Cell phone offenses are way down. Tardies and unexcused absences have dramatically increased, and this is something they are working on. b. Principal—Mr. Schneider presented. c. Superintendent-Mrs. Schilson reported: Mr. Wood to completely re-do the Home Ec. room. Summer projects are being developed. Mr. Greenhalge video games explosion

13) Motion by Sutton, second by Beth Pence to leave regular session for the purpose of entering into Executive Session at 7:47 p.m. to discuss:
a. The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)

Motion by Beth Pence, second by Sutton to approve 6% salary increase for each of the final three years for Suzy Holtsclaw who will retire January 31, 2022. Roll Call: Shannon Pence/yes; Anders/absent; Sutton/yes; Holtsclaw/abstain; Wujek/absent; Beth Pence/yes; Huston/yes. Motion carried.
