Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

The City Council of the City of Waverly, Illinois met in regular session on April 03, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers. City Clerk Jeff Jones was present. Treasurer Dave Copelin present.

Roll Call

Mayor Scott Duewer called the meeting to order and roll call was answered by Council members: Shirley Aleguas, Jeff Baines, Shane Gray, Donny Ruyle and Joe Nagel.

Comments From The Floor

Shayne Emery asked we look into lost cash for the City bill that he had paid for in the night drop.

Julie Samaras for the Library talked about annual budget, bad lift, asked if they could get help to assemble a large cabinet and wanted some direction/help to develop a personnel manuel.

Minutes

Motion by Alderwoman Aleguas Second by Alderman Gray to approve the meeting minutes from the March 06, 2018 meeting. Motion was approved by a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aleguas, Baines, Nagel, Gray and Ruyle. NAYS: None.

Reports

Motion by Alderman Nagel Second by Alderman Ruyle to approve the reports of the clerk, collector, bookkeeper, and treasurer. Motion was approved by a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aleguas, Baines, Gray, Nagel and Ruyle. NAYS: None.

Bills

Motion by Alderman Nagel, Second by Alderman Ruyle to pay the March bills due in April. Motion was approved by a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aleguas, Baines, Gray, Nagel and Ruyle. NAYS: None.

Municipal

Motion by Alderman Baines Seconded by Alderman Ruyle approving annual review and raise for Mark Samaras. Motion was approved by a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aleguas, Baines, Gray, Nagel and

Ruyle. NAYS: None.

Streets And Alley

Motion by Alderman Nagel, Second by Alderwoman Aleguas was approved for Extension for Ameren’s Ordinance to Construct, Operate and Maintain an Electrical Utility System. Motion was approved by a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aleguas, Baines, Gray, Nagel and Ruyle. NAYS: None.

Steve’s monthly report was reviewed.

Police

Chief Bettis’ monthly police report was discussed.

New Business

Discussion and Possible Action about a Vac-Truck was removed till further notice.

Discussion of City Streets slated for May meeting.

Old Business

Review of Ordinances and working on Employee Handbook.

Ongoing Review of Code Book and Special Meeting for Code Book 7pm April 30th

Adjourn

Motion by Alderman Ruyle, second by Alderman Nagel to adjourn the meeting. Motion to approve adjourning the meeting by roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aleguas, Baines, Gray, Nagel and Ruyle.

Nays: None. Mayor Duewer adjourned the meeting at 8:00 P.M.
