Arenzville Fire & Rescue responded to 29 calls in 2017 - 38.1 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Arenzville included 25 fires - six structure fires, five vehicle fires and 14 other fires.

In all, the department saw $68,150 in fire loss - or about $2,726 per fire.

The department also received four false calls.
