White Hall Volunteer Fire Department responded to 41 calls in 2017 - 51.9 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in White Hall included 33 fires - 14 structure fires, six vehicle fires and 13 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $712,200 in fire loss - or about $21,582 per fire.

The department also received seven false calls.
