Augusta Fire Protection District responded to two calls in 2017 - 50 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Augusta included two fires - one structure fire and one vehicle fire.

In all, the department saw $500 in fire loss - or about $250 per fire.

The Augusta Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $35,993 in 2017.
