Pleasant Hill FPD responds to 36 fires in 2017

Pleasant Hill Fire Protection District responded to 37 calls in 2017 - 27.6 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Pleasant Hill included 36 fires - nine structure fires, eight vehicle fires and 19 other fires.

In all, the department saw $1,211,700 in fire loss - or about $33,658 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Pleasant Hill Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $66,716 in 2017.
