Winchester Community Unit School District 1 issued the following announcement on July 1.
WINCHESTER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Registration will be held for the following dates for the Winchester Elementary School:
- Wednesday, August 1st - 1p.m. to 4 p.m., 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, August 2nd - 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. & 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday, August 3rd -New students to the district only - 9 am to 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, August 8th - Late Registration only - 9 a.m. to noon.
Registration Packets will be mailed in July.

The first day of school for students is Friday, August 17th with a 2:15 p.m. dismissal.
On August 20th thru August 24th, classes will be dismissed at 2:15 p.m. also.
