How much has Pleasant Hill CUSD 3 overspent over the past 10 years?

Pleasant Hill Community Unit School District 3 accumulated $4.64 million in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Pleasant Hill CUSD 3 reported 5.2 percent less revenue. At the same time, total spending went down 1.4 percent. The resulting deficit shrunk by 43 percent from 2008 to 2017.
