Macomb Community Unit School District 185 issued the following announcement on Aug. 2.
The Macomb CUSD #185 Board of Education will hold a public hearing Monday, August 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. to receive comment from the public and staff on a proposed waiver of State Board Rules and/or School Code Mandates, specifically 105 ILCS 5/10-20.12a - tuition for non-resident pupils.
The waiver would allow the children of employees who do not reside in the District to attend Macomb Schools tuition free.
The public hearing will be held in the C.T. Vivian Library at Macomb Jr./Sr. High School, 1525 South Johnson Street, Macomb, Illinois.
