Macomb Community Unit School District 185 issued the following announcement on July 30.
Who's ready to be an MHS Bomber?
Incoming 9th graders are invited to attend MHS Boot Camp on Friday, August 10, from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Prior to freshman orientation at 1 p.m.)
Designed to offer an in-depth introduction to high school, students will meet in the MHS Commons where they will be given information about academics, technology, extracurricular opportunities, and everything in between! Certified staff will lead breakout sessions designed to ensure student success and a pizza lunch will be provided at no charge to participating students.
Following the conclusion of MHS Boot Camp at 1 p.m., all 9th graders will go to the auditorium for high school orientation, and parents are encouraged to attend this afternoon session.
Please register by August 8 to help us ensure enough food and beverages are ordered.
Click on the link below to register your student. Transportation for MHS Bootcamp is available, so please indicate on the registration form if your student will need a ride.
Please note that if your student is unable to attend MHS?Boot Camp, it is imperative that they attend high school orientation in the auditorium at 1:00 p.m. on August 10.
