It was decided to have the city attorney draw up an amended ordinance that would cover all animals, except cats, at large from their respective properties.
Discussed a violator of the city's cannabis ordinance. The violator did not appear on the assigned court date. Therefore, in order to proceed with this case, there will be additional court costs and attorney fees that the city will have to pay up front. If found guilty, the violator would then have to reimburse the city for these costs. The council gave the city attorney the authority to proceed with this case.
Discussed the purchase of a carport that was approved at the last council meeting. Commissioners Northup and Olson do not feel that a 20' X 35' carport is large enough. It would cost an additional $560 for a 22' X 35' carport. A motion was made by Northup, and 2nd by Olson to amend the motion from the October 24, 2018, meeting and purchase a 22' X 35' carport from Quality Fisheries for $8,685.00. Mike Walker discussed the hydraulic study done by the Corps of Engineers.
