Report: Warsaw spent $8,190 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Warsaw Community Unit School District 316 is down 16.5 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Hancock County school district spent $9,805 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,190 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 429 to 416.

Warsaw's spending in 2017-18 was 38.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
