Report: Winchester spent $9,193 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Winchester Community Unit School District 1 is up 0.4 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Scott County school district spent $9,153 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,193 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 673 to 614.

Winchester's spending in 2017-18 was 31.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
