Analysis: Waverly administrators rank 691st in state for average pay

Administrators in Waverly Community Unit School District 6 earn an average of $85,320 per year, ranking 691st out of 864 districts in the state, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 12% lower than in 2014 and 13.9% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 20.5% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Morgan County school district enrolled 375 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 188 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
