Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Two years experience recommended. Must have knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building repair maintenance. Candidate must have the ability to work with the requirements and codes to meet IDPH standards, to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Cadidate needs to be able to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or the governing body.
This position directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged maintenance of all facilities owned by the hospital by performing the below listed duties.
- Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance
Department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with
the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints ad resolving problems.
