Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 20.
Do you live in Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, or Warren County? Have you been accepted into a trade or vocational school?
Apply for the WIRC-CAA Trade School Scholarship!
To apply, send a cover letter to Western Illinois Regional Council, 223 South Randolph Street, Macomb, Illinois, 61455, detailing the following information: why you are interested in applying for this scholarship; the vocational trade you plan to study; where you plan to study the vocational trade; the timeframe (as determined by your school) that you are required to complete your chosen program; the expected cost of completing your studies; how you plan to pay your bills (rent, food, etc.) while studying a vocational trade; your transportation needs while you attend classes; and employment opportunities you plan to pursue after graduation.
Applications will be accepted until grant funds are exhausted. Applicants will be evaluated on income-eligibility as this is a grant-funded scholarship.
