Q1 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in McDonough County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in McDonough County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in McDonough County were men. The median age of the parolees was 40. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2016, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2011.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Steven R. Johnson. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2011 when he was 54 years old. He is now 62.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each McDonough County municipality.
