Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Greene County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Greene County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Greene County were men. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2016, and the oldest was a 67-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2012.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Michael R. Meeks. He was convicted of a property crime in 2012 when he was 60 years old. He is now 67.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Greene County municipality.
