Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Greene County?

There were four offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Greene County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Greene County were men. The median age of the parolees was 29. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a crime against justice in 2017, and the oldest was a 40-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jesse W. Meza. He was convicted of a crime against justice in 2017 when he was 20 years old. He is now 22.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Greene County municipality.
